“The doctors are saying it’s fibromyalgia, ” said Derrick.
The breathy choppy sound of his voice left me wondering. How much pain was he in? Derrick who was supposed to be my “younger” brother, once jokingly called himself “older than dirt”.
I remembered the dark tanned complexion of his face and arms from too many hours working on the farm and the image of him smiling and laughing about being “older than dirt.” Now he looked it. His once muscular healthy form was now lack-luster and pale. His face was drawn. His body was frail. The hair on his head was grey.
“They said there’s no cure.”
“No cure?” I said.
A flood of information from my recent studies in homeopathy was going through my head, hundreds of pages filled with information were shuffling in my imagination.
“I don’t believe there’s no solution. There’s something I’ve been reading about in one of my homeopathy books,” I said, “Something called Miasm.”
“What’s miasm?” said Derrick.
“I don’t really know how to explain it yet. It’s just a theory. If what I’m thinking is correct it may be a key to your problem. It’s a theory that I’m reading about that says the real cause of illness is spiritual not physical.”
“Well the doctor’s don’t have an answer yet,” Derrick scoffed, “They don’t freaking know. They put me on some kind of steroid or something. I don’t really like taking it. I’m just tired of hurting.”
“There’s a lot of new information and hopefully a solution,” I said.
There was an undefinable grey-ness to his eyes as if he was subconsciously staring off into some far away place.
Seeing my brother’s change over the past several months left a gut gnawing emptiness in the pit of my stomach. I wanted to help him stop hurting. I wanted to see the light in his eyes again. If there was any answer within homeopathy or anywhere else, I was determined to find it.
The concept of miasm was something that came up in my studies. There wasn’t really much information accessible, at least not to a novice like me.
According to the information that I could find online, miasm was originally a theory of Hahnemann, who believed that when illnesses were not managed correctly, they could be driven deeper into the body and become systematic, then move on to effect every system and organ in the body, eventually leading to death.
Kent, another homeopath and a student of Hahnemann’s work believed that miasm was spiritual in nature. Kent’s writings stated that miasm lie at the root of all human dysfunction.
It was Kent’s theory that intrigued me. After all, in my understanding of homeopathy, it is the spirit of the thing that does the healing.
“There is hope for you Derrick,” I said to my brother.
“I know there is, I can feel it in my heart. Just give me some time. There’s a class next weekend that may have some answers.”
One week later I landed in a new terrain, Sedona Arizona. I stepped out of the blue airport shuttle van ready to begin a new adventure.
It was July in the sizzling heat of the desert summer. The bright blazing sunlight lit up the white-grey sidewalk and reflected off the water in the swimming pool as I walked past it, then followed a small crowd of women into the conference room.
An unexplainable fluttering was building in my gut. What was I getting myself into? I had never met Dorothy before, or anyone else in the workshop. I was nervous. I was excited. Something in my gut told me not to worry, somehow everything would be OK.
Inside the classroom every folding metal chair was filled. Women dressed in pastel colors of orange, yellow and pale blue dresses with their pink and orange painted toenails showing off white sandals were scattered about the room. The sounds of their voices chattering, laughing and sometimes whispering filled the air.
A woman dressed in a pair of tan slacks and a blue flowered blouse walked up to greet me.
“I’m so sorry we are short of proper seating. We weren’t expecting this many people,” she said.
“You must be Karen.”
“Yes,” I said. “Are you Dorothy? I am so happy to be here and happy to finally meet you. I love Geotran and how it’s changed my life.”
“Thank you for coming, Karen. I’m so glad you’re here,” she then held my hand in a warm gentle handshake.
I was awed, honored and ecstatic to finally meet the woman who wrote the program that changed my life for the better every time I used it. And today I was meeting her face-to-face.
There was a vibrant strength and aliveness in the way she held herself. Her posture was perfect, not slouched or bent or crooked. The skin on her face was clear and peachy and seemed to have a gentle glow. Soft red curls framed the crown of her head in a perfectly placed style.
“Dorothy, I was wondering if you know anything about Miasm?”
“So you want to know about Miasm?” said Dorothy, looking straight into my eyes.
“Yes, I know about Miasm. Miasms are lies in the genetic code created by negative word fragmentations of your ancestors.”
In that brief moment she and I stood alone in our own quiet little space within the crowded conference room of chattering women. The gears in my head were churning and pit of my heart leaped with a sense of hope.
“Remind me to show you in class.”
She was quiet for a moment the said, “Karen you have a sweetness about you. Thank you for coming.”
I stood there silently and watched her move graciously about the room as if she was dancing to song I couldn’t hear, greeting every one of her students with a bright smile.
Maybe she knew the answers I was looking for.
I discovered later that Dorothy had written not just one manual, not just one shelf, she wrote a warehouse full of manuals that documented her research and gave us instruction on how to better our lives.
After several years of studying with Dorothy it became evident that she had spent much of her life researching every word in the King James Bible, and other Biblical texts and scriptures, and the works of many scientists and mathematicians, such as Albert Einstein, Rupert Sheldrake, Bruce Lipton, Pythagorus.
Dorothy had spent a lifetime in prayer and meditation, searching for answers to her own illness. It was during those years in prayer that the answer to her prayers came as Geotran.
How do you teach a small group of people a warehouse of information? You don’t. You teach them what they need to know in any given moment. You teach them what will help them most. You help them bring their systems back into balance and harmony so the innate intelligence that lives within them can then heal itself.
That’s exactly what Dorothy did.
Over the years in my studies with Dorothy, my mind wasn’t just loaded with new information. It was flooded with new information. There were times in our classes when we would cover so much that I felt like it was still downloading for weeks after class was over.
I studied with Dorothy for more than 12 years until she physically could no longer teach.
It was during those years that something began to change within me as it did for many of the people who attended the workshops. We could hear answers to our questions coming from somewhere within our own minds. We began to awaken the true authentic self.
A still small voice began to awaken within us, and show us how to see the unseen world of mental software and programs that run our lives.
What mental software? What programs?
Dorothy discovered that we have within us a highly advanced bio-computer system that holds the software and programs of everything we think say and do. Within our software is the perfect design of who and what we were born to be. Within our software is also the programming behind every dysfunctional behavior.
Just as we can reprogram the computers that sit on our desks or on our laps, dysfunctional behavior can be changed by correcting the errors in our programming.
Dorothy found that all human dysfunction whether it be behavior problems, health problems, mental problems were caused by errors in the programs of our bio-computers.
In the 12 years I studied with Dorothy we uncovered and corrected the errors that were ruining our lives.
We discovered that most of the errors were hidden within the depths of our subconscious minds. Like the hidden viral programs that run in the background that we don’t know are there, the errors in our programming cause errors in life. Errors in our programming are the cause of every illness, financial difficulties, dysfunctional relationships, mental illness and loss.
Where did these errors come from?
